Fluoride

Approximately 10% (by population) of drinking water supplies in England and Wales are artificially fluoridated. The purpose of fluoridation is to reduce dental decay, especially in young children.

Water companies have to ensure they do not exceed the Directive standard set for fluoride at 1.5mg/l.

Dee Valley Water does not artificially fluoridate any of its supply.
